The Waikiki Aquarium, founded in 1904, is the third oldest public aquarium in the United States. A part of the University of Hawaii since 1919, the Aquarium is located next to a living reef on the Waikiki shoreline.
Our exhibits, programs, and research focus on the aquatic life of Hawaii and the tropical Pacific. Over 2,500 organisms in our exhibits represent more than 420 species of aquatic animals and every year, roughly 350,000 people visit the Waikiki Aquarium.

DFS Galleria Walk-Through Aquarium
This aquarium is located inside the DFS Galleria shopping center. Also known as "The Tube" because of its shape, guests can walk through the structure, viewing manta rays and exotic fish swimming above and on both sides. The aquarium is two-stories tall and holds more than 65,000 gallons of water.

Honolulu Zoo Inside of the Honolulu Zoo are a variety of animal habitats, including an African savanna, a rainforest and a petting zoo. More than 750,000 people visit the zoo each year, with its roots extending back to 1874 as a 300-acre park established by the King. It is open daily from 9am to 4:30pm.
