Dyker Beach Golf Course 18-Hole (Public)
7th Ave & 86th St Brooklyn, New York 11228 United States
Phone: (718)836-9722
This inner-city course is considered to be the best-conditioned in the city, which is amazing considering the 80,000 rounds that are played on it annually. The burnt out automobile bodies that used to confront golfers on several fairways are now absent. The wide-open layout has a nice mix of holes, including several dogleg fairways. Visual appeal comes in the way of the fairways' many trees and, on the back nine, some striking views of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, one of the world's largest suspension bridges. The course can be noisy because of the city streets that are adjacent to the course. There is one large lake on the course. John Van Kleek redesigned the course in 1935.
