Indy Parks currently maintains and operates more than 192 park properties in Indianapolis and Marion County. Each park offers unique and inexpensive recreational opportunities for you and your family. Below is a listing of the city parks offering programs or amenities.
REGIONAL PARKS
Indy Parks has six regional parks which provide natural settings and a sense of remoteness from urban life. Regional parks feature scenic views, lakes, rivers or ponds, as well as cultural amenities. It is our goal to preserve these unique landscapes and open spaces that surround Indianapolis so residents may enjoy them for many years to come.
COMMUNITY PARKS
Community Parks are smaller, but may have less natural amenities and more programming at family centers, nature centers, sports facilities and more! If you are looking to take a dance class, enroll in swim lessons, or want a place to play a weekend game of baseball, check out a Community Park.
NEIGHBORHOOD/MINI PARKS
Neighborhood Parks are the smallest parks in Indy Parks' inventory. These parks serve small pocket communities and neighborhoods throughout the city. Neighborhood Parks have playgrounds, picnic shelters, and some even have a water spray feature to keep kids cool in the summer. If you're looking to hold a family gathering or just a Sunday picnic, check out the Neighborhood Park nearest you.
