We call ourselves Botanicals for a reason. Our name reflects our belief that the best design is rooted in nature. We explore, expand and experiment with the endless variety of nature. We think innovative designs are only successful when the innovation is rooted in the natural line, texture and color of flowers, trees, grasses, mosses, fruits, vegetables and the unique environments in which they grow. In this way we avoid the contrived, the lifeless and the imposed -- creating instead the authentic, the vital, the organic.

Mindscape Gallery has been a Chicago north shore tradition for 31 years. Considered by many as one of the largest and finest contemporary American craft galleries in the Midwest for unique gifts, Mindscape is located in Evanston just a few blocks from Lake Michigan and the campus of Northwestern University, in the bustling Central Street retail district.
When the original owners, Ron and Deborah Isaacson, made the decision to retire from the gallery business, their store manager of ten years, Carole Richey, began her plan to continue the tradition. Knowing that the running of a contemporary American craft gallerie was going to be much more fun with a partner, she convinced her friend and a Mindscape contributing jewelry artist, James LeTerneau, to relocate from Michigan. Together, with combined experience in retail and as working artists, they reopened Mindscape Adornments in March 1999. The store has since become one of Chicagoland's most eclectic contemporary American craft galleries.
Over 225 artists from Maine to California exhibit their uniquely affordable home furnishings, hand blown glass, hancrafted jewelry, expressive woods, ceramics and clothing. Handcrafted jewelry selections range from whimsical to sophisticated by 55 artists. Special exhibits occur throughout the year to feature each craft category.
