A new era of championship hockey began in Chicago with the drop of a puck in the Fall of 1994.Nearly 10 years later, the Chicago Wolves continue to bring first-class entertainment to millions. In that time, the Wolves have made their mark in not one, but two different leagues. After capturing a pair of International Hockey League crowns, the Wolves entered the historic American Hockey League, hungry for a first-ever Calder Cup title. They advanced through the playoffs in a record-setting 25-game run, which culminated in double overtime in Game 5 of the Finals, in front of 15,000 cheering fans -- the second-largest crowd in AHL Playoff history.
With the rafters decorated with championship banners, the Wolves continue to showcase talented hometown favorites along with the top prospects of the NHL’s Atlanta Thrashers. And with the strength of other big-league cities like Philadelphia, Houston, Salt Lake City and Cleveland, the AHL draws more than 5 million fans each year.
With their winning tradition, their unique style-and-personality, and the best fans in hockey, the Chicago Wolves will consistently strive to be a championship organization in every respect, provided great family-entertainment and the best value in Chicago sports.
